Q Bar
went down to Q Bar at Old Parliament House last nite with Pat n Huiling.
pretty nice place, with a wide array of Vodka.
the first floor is for chilling out;
second floor is more or less a bar area and the top floor is sorta a club playing house music. 
my favourite is still the balcony area outside the 3rd floor area. nice view of Boat Quay =)
can enjoy the night breeze and watch the people below go by.
had a Grey Goose neat with 2 olives ($16). suxx like hell.. 
stil prefer my sweet apple martini =) ($13).
the vodka jelly was quite nice. cld taste the strong alcoholic punch, not too cloyingly sweet (thankfully for weight watchers). however, it cost $10 each. yes, for that small thing.

can make vodka jellos at home, at a lower price too! perfect for parties!
btw, the service is awfully slow and unfriendly... so, be warned.
the crowd's largely from finance. yes, rich bankers n fund managers etc.
alot of Ang Mos n ABCs... however... P-O-S-E-R! 
can you imagine this?
standing around on the dance floor?! such a crime!
and they're quite restrained anyway... so not happening =P
my verdict: Velvet is still the classic.
love their prompt service with a smile.
plus, great music, great drinks, beautiful sophisticated people who are out to have a good time.
c'est la vie.

those rich bankers gotta be abit poserish cuz of their age/status mah.. prob in their younger days they were realli happenin dancin like crazy too..
